- Banana (Ethapazham): 2
- Sugar: 3 tsp (as required)
- Wheat flour: 1 cup
- Maida: 1 tbsp
- Baking Powder: a pinch
- Turmeric Powder: ¼ tsp
- Salt: a pinch
- Water: required
- Oil: for deep frying
Method of Preparation:
- Slice bananas length wise in 1” thickness.
- In a bowl, mix wheat flour, Maida, salt, sugar, baking powder and turmeric powder.
- Add water to it to make a smooth, thick batter. Keep for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan; Dip each banana slice in the batter and deep fry in oil.
- Serve hot.
Tips: Maida or wheat flour alone can be used.
