- Chicken: 800gm
- Potato: 1
- Onion: 1 big
- Tomato: 1 small
- Ginger: 1” piece
- Garlic: 4 cloves
- Green Chilli: 1
- Turmeric powder: ¾ tsp
- Chilli powder: 1tsp (or as required)
- Coriander Powder: 2 tbsp
- Coconut grated: 1cup
- Fennel seeds: ¼ tsp
- Shallots: 8
- Curry leaves: few
- Salt: needed
- Coconut Oil: needed
Method of Preparation:
· In a cooking pot, add washed Chicken pieces, sliced onion, potato, tomato, green chilli, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, 1tsp oil and salt. Mix well with hand and add enough water to get it cooked and put on the stove.
· Mean while it gets cooked, heat a pan, add 1tsp oil, add grated coconut, 4 shallots, fennel seeds and curry leaves. Roast till coconut becomes brown color.
· Grind this coconut by adding enough water to smooth paste.
· When chicken gets cooked and the gravy thickens add the grinded paste to it and stir well and bring it to boil. Switch off the flame.
· Heat oil in a pan; add the chopped shallots, when it turns brown add curry leaves and transfer this to the curry.Delicious chicken curry is ready to serve.
