- Apple Grated: 1 cup
- Sago/ Chowari: ¼ cup
- Coconut milk Powder: ¼ cup
- Salt: a pinch (optional)
- Jaggery: 200gms (as per taste)
- Raisins, almonds, Cashew: few
- Ghee: 2 tsp
Method of Preparation
Wash and cook sago till it becomes transparent. Keep aside.
Cook grated apple by adding 2 cups water, till the water comes to ½ cup.
Then add the cooked sago.
Meanwhile melt the jaggery by adding some water and strain and keep aside.
After adding sago to apple, add the jaggery syrup and salt.
Stir continuously for 5 minutes and add the coconut milk powder.
Stir well and switch off the flame.
Roast cashew, almonds and raisins in ghee and add this to the prepared payassam.
