Pappada Vada

  1. Pappadam: 6
  2. Gram Flour: 1 cup
  3. Rice Flour: 1tbsp
  4. Salt: needed
  5. Baking Powder: a pinch
  6. Sesame seeds: ¼ tsp
  7. Cumin Seeds: ¼ tsp
  8. Green Chilli chopped: ½ tsp
  9. Onion Chopped: 1tbsp
  10. Curry Leaves: few chopped
  11. Oil: for deep frying
Method of Preparation
  • Mix rice flour, gram flour, salt, baking powder by adding some water to get thick consistency. If the consistency is thicker than dosha batter then only the coating will stay on pappadam.
  • Add sesame seeds, cumin seeds, green chilli, onion, curry leaves and stir well to mix it properly.
  • Heat oil in a pan; Dip each pappadam in the batter and deep fry in oil.
  • Tips: Oil should be hot enough otherwise it will absorb much oil.
