Sponge Appam

  1. Idli batter: 3 cups
  2. Salt: needed
  3. Baking Powder: ¼ tsp
  4. Sugar: 3tbsp (or as required)
  5. Cardamom Powder: a pinch
  6. Roasted cashews and raisins: few (optional) {I have not used}

Method of Preparation

Mix all the above ingredients well.

Pour this into a greased bowl in which you could steam.

Place the bowl into a steamer.

Steam for about 20-30 minutes.

Take out from the bowl after cooling and cut into pieces and serve.
