Tomato Chammanthy


Onion: 1 big

Tomato: 2 big

Chilli Powder: ¾ tsp ( or as per taste)

Salt: reqd

Oil 2 tsp

Method of Preparation

In a pan; heat oil and add chopped onion and salt.

When onion slightly turns translucent, add the chopped tomatoes.

When tomatoes are almost cooked, add the chilli powder and stir for a while.

Switch off the flame.

When it slightly cools, grind to a smooth paste.

Best combination with dosha or idli.

Tips: chilli powder can be replaced by dry red chilli.
