Pineapple chopped: 4cups
Sugar: 1 ¾ cups (check and add more sugar if needed)
Lemon Juice: 3tbsp
Clove Powder: ¼ tsp
Method of Preparation
Place the chopped pine apple pieces in a pressure cooker add some water. Wait for 3 whistles.
Switch off the flame and open when pressure releases.
Open the lid and mash well with the back of the lid
Now add sugar and clove powder.
Keep in medium flame, stir occasionally.
When it starts thickening, continue stirring and add lemon juice.
When it thickens and gets the consistency of jam. (To check the consistency, take the cold saucer out of the freezer, put a little jam on it, and put it back in to cool for a minute. If it wrinkles when you push it with your finger, then it's done.)
