Lebanese Bread


Ingredients
Maida: 1 cup
Wheat Flour: 1 cup
Yeast: 1 ½ tsp
Warm Water: needed
Sugar: 1 tbsp
Salt: needed
Olive oil: needed
Method of Preparation
In a bowl, add yeast, sugar and some warm water. Keep aside for minute so that the yeast gets dissolved.
In a bowl; take maida and wheat flour. Add the yeast mix and slowly add warm water to make it smooth dough.
While kneading the dough add some olive oil also.
Take time and knead the dough. Keep aside for 2 hours in a greased air tight bowl.
Knead it once more after 2hours.
Take small balls out of it, roll it in round ½” thick rotis
Preheat the oven, Place pizza stone or any suitable pan in oven
Place each roti on the pan and grill till it puffs up and turns brown. Turn over in between so that both sides turns brown.

Thanks for this recipe: I always wanted to try making Lebanese bread.
Maida is plain white flour (wheat)? What do you call wheat flour - is it wholemeal flour?
