Fish: 500gms (any fish)
Shallots/pearl onion: 12
Tomato: 2big
Garlic cloves: 5
Ginger: 1” piece
Green Chilli: 2
Kashmiri Chilli Powder: 2tbsp
Salt: needed
Coconut Oil: 3tbsp
Curry leaves: few
Fenugreek powder: ¼ tsp
Method of Preparation
Wash and drain the fish pieces.
In a blender add tomato, shallots, ginger, garlic and green chilli. Blend to a smooth paste.
In a pan, add this blended mix, chilli powder, add ½ cup water to it and keep on stove.
Close with a lid and when boils keep on low flame.
When the gravy becomes very thick, add in the fish and keep in very low flame.
When the fish is almost done add 2tbsp coconut oil and increase the flame a bit.
Don’t close with a lid again, when the fish is cooked and gravy is well coated with fish, add fenugreek powder and curry leaves.
Add 1tbsp coconut oil and close with a lid and switch off the flame.
Serve hot.
