Celery Thoran



Ingredients
Celery chopped: 2 cups
Onion: 1 small
Grated Coconut: ¼ cup
Green Chilli: 2
Garlic cloves: 2
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Salt: needed
Mustard seeds: ½ tsp
Oil: 3tbsp


Method Of Preparation
Grind coconut, green chilli and garlic cloves to smooth paste. Keep this aside.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds (I forgot this step seasoned with spluttered mustard seeds after done), then add chopped onion, when onion turns transparent add turmeric powder, celery chopped and salt. Close with a lid and lower the flame.
When the celery becomes soft/gets cooked add the grinded coconut mix and stir and switch off the flame.
Serve hot with rice.

Broccoli Masala



Ingredients
Broccoli: 1
Green Chilli: 3
Capsicum: 1
Tomato: 2 small
Onion: 2
Garlic: 4-5 cloves
Ginger: 1” piece
Curry leaves: as needed
Oil: 3-4tbsp        
Garam Masala: ½ tsp
Coriander Powder: 1tbsp
Chilli powder: 1tsp
Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
Salt: needed
Coriander leaves chopped: needed


Method Of Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions to it. When it turns transparent add crushed ginger and garlic to it.
Sauté for half a minute and add finely chopped tomatoes.
When tomatoes get cooked add green chilli, curry leaves, garam masala, coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder to it. Sauté for another half minute and add broccoli florets, salt and chopped capsicum to it.
Stir and close with a lid. Lower the flame. Stir in between. Add chopped coriander leaves Switch off the flame when the broccoli gets cooked. It may take approximately 10-15 minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves
Serve hot with Chappathi

Natholi Fillets


Ingredients
Natholi: 500gms (Big Ones)
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Chilli Powder: ¾ tsp
Salt: needed
Maida/ Atta thin batter
Maida/Atta: 2tbsp
Water: ¼ cup+3tbsp
Pepper Powder: ¾ tsp
Salt: needed  
Bread Crumbs: needed
Oil: for frying


Method Of Preparation
Take out the bones from the fish and split one Natholi into two pieces.
Marinate Natholi with turmeric powder, chilli Powder and salt.
Keep aside for atleast 30 minutes.
Maida Batter
Add maida in a plate or bowl.
Add water, salt and pepper powder to it.
Mix well with hand.
In another bowl take bread crumbs
Heat oil in a pan.
Take each Natholi Pieces, dip first in maida batter and then roll in bread crumbs and deep fry each pieces till both sides become golden brown color.

Natholi Curry



Ingredients
Natholi: 500gms
Onion: 2
Tomato: 2big
Tamarind 1 lemon sized
Turmeric powder: 1tsp
Green chilli crushed: 6-8( spicy ones)
Jeera Powder: 1tsp
Coriander powder: 1tsp
Coriander leaves: ½ bunch
Salt: needed
Oil: ¼ cup


Method Of Preparation
Clean, wash and drain the fish and keep aside.
Finely grate or chop the onion and tomatoes.
Heat oil in a pan and add fimely chopped onions.
When it turns slightly red color add the tomatoes to it. Let the tomato get cooked and oil separate from it.
Then add the turmeric powder, jeera powder, salt, coriander powder and crushed green chilli.
Add water and when water boils add the fish and tamarind as it is to it.
Switch off the flame when fish gets cooked.
Add chopped coriander leaves to it.
Serve hot with rice.
