Ingredients
Kadachakka/Bread Fruit: 1
Lentils: ¼ cup
Onion: 1 big
Tomato: 3
Green Chilli: 2
Turmeric powder: 1tsp
Chilli powder: 1 ½ tbsp.
Coriander powder: 2 ½ tbsp.
Salt: needed
Grated coconut: 1 ½ cup
Garlic cloves: 3
Shallots: 4
Garam masala: 1tsp
Curry leaves: few
Coconut oil: 2tbsp
Mustard seeds: few
Curry leaves: few
Method Of Preparation
Peel and cut the bread fruit and keep aside.
Roast the coconut by adding garlic, shallots, garam masala and curry leaves. Roast; till it slightly browns and when slightly cooled, grind the coconut to a smooth paste. Keep this aside.
In a pan cook lentils by adding turmeric powder, green chilli and salt.
When lentil gets cooked add bread fruit pieces, chilli powder and coriander powder, add chopped chilli, tomato and onion to it. When boils lower the flame and close with a lid.
When bread fruit gets cooked add the grinded coconut paste to it and stir well and when begins to boil switch off the flame.
Heat oil in pan, splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves.
Add this to the prepared bread fruit curry.
