Marble Cake

I wished to bake marble cake from long. I was thinking it may not come out well and was lagging behind. But surprisingly it came out well to my satisfaction and after baking it I realized it is not at all complicated. So here goes the recipe.
Ingredients
Plain Flour/ Maida: 1 cup
Sugar: ¾ cup
Baking Powder: ¾ tsp
Baking Soda: ¼ tsp
Salt: a pinch
Butter: ½ cup
Eggs: 2
Milk: ¼ cup
Vanilla essence: 1tsp
Cocoa Powder: 1tbsp

Method of Preparation
Sieve together maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Powder the sugar.
In a bowl add butter and powdered sugar and beat well.
Add egg, milk and vanilla essence to it and beat well with an electric beater.
Add sieved flour to this and beat well again until it is mixed well.
Divide the batter into ¼ and ¾ proportion.
Take the ¼ portion and add cocoa powder to it. Mix well
So you have got vanilla batter and cocoa batter.
Preheat the oven to 1800C and grease the cake pan.
Pour the vanilla batter and the cocoa batter alternately till you finish.
Take a fork or knife and make swirls without disturbing much (be careful not to overdo)

Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 30-40 minutes or till cake test is done.
Cool on a wire rack.
 Slice and  serve.
