Ingredients
Chicken: 900gms
Onion: 2
Tomato: 2 big
Chilli powder: 2 tbsp (or as needed)
Ginger paste: 2 tbsp
Garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder: ¾ tsp
Curry leaf: few
Coriander leaves: 1 string
Salt: needed
Coconut oil: 2 tbsp
Shallots: 3
Method of Preparation
Cut chicken into pieces. Wash and keep aside.
Grind tomato into paste.
In a cooking pot add sliced onion, ginger garlic paste, tomato paste, curry leaves, salt, chilli powder, garam masala and 1 tbsp coconut oil.
Mix well with hand. Then add the chicken pieces and mix well.
If necessary add ½ cup water.
Keep on flame and close with a lid.
When boil, sim the flame. Stir frequently.
Cook until chicken is done and gravy becomes dry.
Switch off the flame
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add chopped shallots, when it turns brown add curry leaves.
Transfer this to prepared chicken. Garnish with coriander leaves
Serve hot.

ReplyDeleteYumm yumm yumm - looks lovely and awesome color!I was wondering if I could substitute the coconut oil with mustard oil? Just that I'm not too fond of the pungency in the coconut oil.Will it yield the same results?Will give this a try pretty soon:)
