Ingredients
Banana/ Ripe Plantain: 4
Wheat Flour/ Maida: 1 ½ cups
Rice Flour: 1tbsp
Baking powder: 1tsp
Salt: a pinch
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Sugar: 3-4 tbsp
Coconut grated: 1 cup (or as needed)
Sugar: 1tsp
Cardamom powder: ¼ tsp
Oil: for deep frying
Method of Preparation
Boil banana in some water till it is well cooked. (You can steam cook also)
Peel and mash well with hand/masher.
Keep this aside.
In a bowl add wheat flour, rice powder, baking powder, sugar, salt and turmeric powder.
Add water to make it thick batter. (The consistency of batter should not be too thick or too thin. If you dip the banana ball, the batter should coat on it well without falling.)
In another bowl add grated coconut, 1 tsp sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.
Take the mashed banana. Take a small ball from it; flatten it a little by keeping it at the center of the palm.
Take a spoon of coconut mixture, put in the center of flattened banana.
Again roll it into a small ball. Continue the same process till you finish the whole mashed banana
Dip the banana balls in the made batter and deep fry in oil, till it becomes light brown color.
Serve hot with tea.
Looks Delicious:)
